According to the World Health Organization there are about 121 million people worldwide suffering with depression. Unknown to many, depression is also the leading cause of disability for those betwen the age of 15 and 44.
Healers throughout history have taught that depression is essentially a disruption of our connection with source. When we feel alone or isolated from that which makes us curious, excited and inspired to create, organize or get involved, this tends to create the feeling of satisfaction and confidence to tackle even more ambitious projects.
Yoga is a simple, good feeling way to reconnect one with our inner or higher self. Including yoga, meditation and /or breathing and stretching exercises in little bits throughout the day can have exciting effects on moods and stress levels.
Make a New Habit:
Start by taking just 5 minutes each day to go through a yoga exercise or one of the stretching or qigong exercises. Don’t try to last as long as you can, but stop while it is still fun. This way you’ll condition yourself to look forward to your next yoga or meditation period.

I fancy myself a student of the mystical schools. As such, nothing is off-limits as far as self- and multiverse- exploration goes. I prefer to use the term 'yoga' to mean the development of self, and not as one particular discipline. I seek viable, proactive information on subjects ranging from meta physics and philosophy, social evolution and ethics, to sustainable living practices and natural health solutions as alternatives to mainstream medicine, and in daily life. I share the ponderings and info you find here, as well as pass along articles by others whose interests fit into the topics on this site...so be sure to check out the links to other authors' sites in the bio section at the end of each article... and enjoy!
