Stand outdoors, facing the sun, during the morning or noontime. With your arms resting, relaxed by your sides, open your palms to the front so that they too can absorb the radiant energy of the sun.
Focus on inhaling the sunlight through your mouth. Imagine that the sun’s light is infusing your saliva with its healing energy. As you exhale through your nose, swallow the energized saliva and visualize it flowing down along your throat and into your abdomen.
Feel the energy sink all the way to the lowest portion of your abdominal cavity. See it join the reservoir of energy that resides in the lower dantian, adding essential natural qi to your body’s own reserves. You may picture this as a golden nectar that drips and flows into your dantian to rejuvenate and sustain your body and wellbeing.
After repeating this a few times place your open hands over your lower abdomen while you concentrate of deep, even breathing. This will help draw more of the sun’s qi deep into your qi battery. With your hands, feel your abdomen becoming warm and full of healing sun energy.
