Add this to your list of office exercises to keep you limber and alert while gettin things done. The muscles located along the outer arms and up through the shoulders are favorite places for tension to build during long periods of sitting at a desk.
This exercise not only stretches and relaxes the shoulders and arms, but helps align the chest and back, helping qi to flow more freely through the upper body.
- Wrap your left arm around your upper torso around your front, placing right other hand on the elbow around chest height.
- Place your left hand against the elbow of your right arm during the exhale of a deep breathing rhythm. Concentrate on stretching the upper arm as you stretch it to the left, opening your shoulder blades on the back.
- Hold this position for several breaths and then release before repeating on the other side.

I fancy myself a student of the mystical schools. As such, nothing is off-limits as far as self- and multiverse- exploration goes. I prefer to use the term 'yoga' to mean the development of self, and not as one particular discipline. I seek viable, proactive information on subjects ranging from meta physics and philosophy, social evolution and ethics, to sustainable living practices and natural health solutions as alternatives to mainstream medicine, and in daily life. I share the ponderings and info you find here, as well as pass along articles by others whose interests fit into the topics on this site...so be sure to check out the links to other authors' sites in the bio section at the end of each article... and enjoy!
